The properties of high impedance arcing faults and their role in causing electrical fires means of detection of such faults.
	Partial Discharge Diagnostics
Analysis of partial discharges in insulation and their role in ageing.
	Insulation Ageing Studies
Investigations of ageing processes which cause insulation deterioration. Major tests on installed equipment will be carried out on installed utility equipment.
	Voltage and Current Transients in LV Systems.
The generation and propagation of transients is being investigated with the aim of determining protection methods and the ability of equipment to withstand such transients.
