Geographic routing is well known to be one of the few routing schemes to be scalable. However, in wireless networks its performance degrades severely in the presence of location errors. This short presentation explores the impact of location error on the performance of geographic routing, and discusses the design of future geographic routing protocols that are more tolerant to location errors.
