EE&T students win design award from Altera Nios
Congratulations to Mike
Dyer, Amit Gupta and Natalia Galin PhD students Mike Dyer and Amit Gupta and graduating student Natalia Galin were part of a team developing novel applications for the Altera range of Field Programmable Gate Array FFPGA) devices. Forty three teams from Australia, New Zealand and India were selected for the hotly contested final. The UNSW team placed second overall. Prof David Taubman and Dr Saeid Nooshabadi are supervisors of the students. The competition will be run again in 2006. Details to be announced by the beginning os Session1, 2006. EE&T students are encouraged to enter. Altera in conjunction with Braemac will also sponsor a 4th Year thesis in 2006. These details to be announced by the beginning of Session 1, 2006.
